The WHO has declared that spirulina is "the best food for mankind in the 21st century". This microalgae - or rather cyanobacteria - is particularly rich in iron, proteins, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants (see table of nutritional values). It is so nutritionally dense that it is grown and consumed in some countries to combat malnutrition.

The combination of these nutrients helps to reduce fatigue and to protect cells against oxidative stress, and contributes towards the healthy functioning of the immune and nervous systems, and healthy muscle function.

An optimal drying method

The drying method is particularly important in spirulina farming. Our spirulina is blow-dried in drying tunnels using filtered air. The temperature does not exceed 44°C at the core. It is a slow process. A faster and hotter process is often used in silos. The resulting motion damages the vitamins and other nutrients, which is what we want to avoid.

From India to Switzerland

Our spirulina is grown in India, in the state of Tamil Nadu. It is then inspected in Switzerland, one batch at a time, to ensure that you receive a product of superior and stable quality. Its levels of heavy metals, pesticides, toxic elements as well as good nutrients are measured and tested by an external body. Please do not hesitate to ask if you would like to see the certificates!
